How Do I Change the Position of a Picture in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:56 pm

There are a few different ways to change the position of a picture in Photoshop. You can move the picture using the Move Tool, by changing the x and y coordinates in the options bar, or by using the arrow keys on your keyboard.

The Move Tool is the easiest way to move a picture. Simply select the Move Tool from the toolbar, then click and drag the picture to its new location.

To change the x and y coordinates, first select the picture with the Move Tool. Then, in the options bar at the top of the screen, enter new values for the X and Y coordinates. The picture will move to that location on the canvas.

You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move a picture. First, make sure that nothing else is selected.

Then, hold down Shift and use the arrow keys to move the picture in small increments. To move it faster, hold down both Shift and Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) as you use the arrow keys.

When you’re finished moving the picture, deselect it by clicking anywhere else on the canvas or pressing Ctrl+D (Windows) or Command+D (Mac).

PRO TIP: If you are using Photoshop to edit a picture, be aware that you can change the position of the picture. This may cause the picture to look distorted or out of place.
