How Do I Change the URL Slug in Squarespace?

When you Change the URL Slug in Squarespace, you’re essentially changing the name of your page or post. This is helpful if you want your page or post to be called something different than what it is currently called. For example, if you have a page called “About Us” and you want to change the URL slug to “Company History”, you can do so by following these steps:

1. Log into your Squarespace account and go to the page or post that you want to change the URL slug for.

2. In the top right corner of the page, click on the “Settings” icon (it looks like a cog).

3. In the drop-down menu that appears, click on “Page Settings”.

4. In the “Page Settings” window that appears, find the “URL Slug” field and delete the current text in it.

5. Type in the new URL slug that you want for your page or post, and then click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the window.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when changing the URL slug in Squarespace, you could break your site. Make sure to back up your site before making any changes.

And that’s all there is to changing the URL slug for a page or post in Squarespace!
