How Do I Change to 300 DPI in Photoshop?

If you have an image that is too low in resolution to be used for printing, you may be able to improve its quality by changing the resolution in Photoshop. To change an image from 72 dpi to 300 dpi, follow these steps:

1. Open the image in Photoshop. 2. Go to Image > Image Size.

3. Make sure the Resolution box is checked, and enter 300 into the text field next to it. 4. Click OK.
5. Save the image as a TIFF or PSD file to preserve its quality.

You may notice that changing the resolution makes the image file size larger. That’s because there are more pixels in a 300 dpi image than a 72 dpi image, so it takes up more space on your hard drive. However, the larger file size is worth it if you need to print the image or use it at a high resolution.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or 300 DPI, we recommend that you do not attempt to change to 300 DPI in Photoshop. You may inadvertently damage your images, or create poor quality prints.
