How Do I Combine Two Shopify Stores?

Last updated on October 2, 2022 @ 2:04 am

When you have two Shopify stores, you may want to combine them for a variety of reasons. Maybe you have a store for your physical products and another for your digital products, and you want to streamline the shopping experience for your customers.

Or maybe you have a store for your main product line and another for clearance items, and you want to make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for. Whatever your reasons, there are a few things you need to do in order to combine two Shopify stores.

The first thing you need to do is export the data from both of your stores. You can do this by going to Settings > General in your Shopify admin, and then scrolling down to the Export section.

From here, you can export your data as a CSV file. Once you have both CSV files, you’ll need to open them in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Next, you’ll need to combine the data from both CSV files into one spreadsheet. Make sure that each column in the spreadsheet matches up with the corresponding column in the other CSV file.

For example, if the Name column in one CSV file is in the same place as the Title column in the other CSV file, make sure that the Name column is in the same place in the combined spreadsheet. Once everything is lined up, you can copy and paste the data from both CSV files into the combined spreadsheet.

Now that all of your data is in one place, you can start setting up your combined store. The first thing you’ll need to do is create a new Shopify account.

Once you’ve done that, you can import your combined data into this new account. To do this, go to Settings > General, and scroll down to the Import section. From here, you can upload your combined CSV file.

After your data has been imported, take some time to set up your navigation and menus so that customers can easily find what they’re looking for. You may also want to create some new collections or tags to help organize your products. When everything is set up the way you want it, go ahead and launch your new store!

PRO TIP: If you are considering combining two Shopify stores, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, make sure that both stores are on the same platform. If they are not, you will need to export your data from one store and import it into the other. This can be a time-consuming and difficult process. Secondly, consider the URL structure of your stores. You will need to redirect all of your old store’s URLs to the new store, which can be a complex process. Finally, think about your customer base. If you have a large and loyal customer base, they may not be happy with the change. Make sure to communicate any changes to your store clearly and give customers plenty of notice so they can adjust.
