Shopify is a powerful ecommerce platform that gives entrepreneurs the ability to create beautiful online stores. One of the great things about Shopify is that it’s easy to customize and add new sections to your store. In this article, we’ll show you how to create a custom section in Shopify.

To add a new section to your Shopify store, you’ll need to access the “Sections” area of your admin dashboard. To do this, go to Online Store > Themes > Edit HTML/CSS. Once you’re in the Edit HTML/CSS page, click on the “Sections” folder on the left-hand side.

Now that you’re in the Sections folder, you’ll see all of the existing sections for your theme. To add a new section, click on the “Add a new section” link at the bottom of the page.

PRO TIP: Custom sections in Shopify can be created using theLiquid templating language. However, Liquid is a complex language and novice users may inadvertently introduce security vulnerabilities or create unstable themes. We recommend that only experienced Shopify theme developers attempt to create custom sections.

You’ll be prompted to choose a section type. For our example, we’ll choose the “Featured products” section type. However, there are many other types of sections available, so feel free to experiment with different types to see what works best for your store.

Once you’ve chosen a section type, you’ll be able to give your section a name and add content. For our example, we’ll name our section “Bestsellers” and add some products to it. You can add products by clicking on the “Add products” button and choosing from your existing products, or by creating new products directly in the section.

Once you’re happy with your section, click on the “Save” button at the bottom of the page and you’re done! Your new custom section will now appear on your store’s homepage.

Creating custom sections in Shopify is a great way to add more interest and personality to your store. By experiment with different types of sections, you can easily find ways to showcase your products and make your store more unique.
