How Do I Create a Reusable Template in Canva?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 10:33 pm

If you’re like me, you’re always looking for ways to save time and be more efficient. Creating templates is a great way to do this, and Canva is a great tool for creating templates.

But what if you want to create a template that you can reuse over and over again? In this article, I’m going to show you how to create a reusable template in Canva.

First, let’s create a new design. Click the “+” icon in the top left corner of the screen and select “Create a design.” This will open up a blank design in Canva.

Next, let’s add an element to our design. Click on the “Elements” tab in the left sidebar and drag an element onto your design. For this example, I’m going to add a text box.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Canva, we recommend that you seek help from someone who is before attempting to create a reusable template. This is because if you do not do it correctly, you may end up losing your work or creating a template that is unusable.

Now that we have our element added, let’s style it. Double-click on the text box and enter your text.

Then, use the formatting options at the top of the screen to style your text. For this example, I’m going to make my text bold and underlined.

Once you’re happy with your text, it’s time to save your design as a template. To do this, click on the “File” menu in the top left corner of the screen and select “Save as template.” This will open up a dialog box where you can name your template and choose where to save it.

That’s it! Now you have a reusable template that you can use over and over again. To use your template, simply click on the “Templates” tab in the left sidebar and select your template from the list.
