How Do I Create a Text Style in Figma?

Last updated on November 25, 2022 @ 2:33 pm

There are many ways to style text in HTML, but the most common way is to use the < p >,< b > and < u > tags. The < p > tag defines a paragraph, the < b > tag defines bold text, and the < u > tag defines underlined text.

To style text in Figma, you first need to create a text style. To do this, click on the Text tab in the left sidebar and then click on the + button in the top-right corner. This will open the Create Text Style dialog box.

In the dialog box, you can give your text style a name and then select a font family, font weight, font size, line height, and letter spacing. You can also choose whether your text should be uppercase, lowercase, or capitalized.

Once you’ve created your text style, you can apply it to any text element in your design by selecting the element and then clicking on the Text tab in the right sidebar. This will open the Text Settings panel where you can select your text style from the drop-down menu.

The < p >,< b >, and < u > tags are just a few of the many ways you can style text in HTML. For more information about styling text in HTML, check out our HTML Text Styling tutorial.

Conclusion:
Creating a text style in Figma is a simple process that allows you to control the appearance of your design’s text elements. By using the < p >,< b >, and < u > tags, you can easily format your text to achieve the desired look.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to create a text style in Figma. While Figma is a powerful design tool, it can be difficult to use if you are not familiar with it. If you are unsure about how to use Figma, please consult with a professional designer or ask for help from someone who is familiar with the software.
