How Do I Customize Text in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 6:36 am

There are a few different ways that you can customize text in Squarespace. One way is to use the Text Editor.

The Text Editor can be found in the Content Manager. To find the Content Manager, go to Settings and then click on Content Manager. Once you’re in the Content Manager, click on Text Editor.

In the Text Editor, you can change the font, size, color, and style of your text. You can also add links, images, and videos.

PRO TIP: Customizing text in Squarespace can be a great way to add your own personal touch to your website. However, it is important to be aware that there are some potential risks associated with doing so.

One of the biggest risks is that you could inadvertently change the meaning of your website’s content by altering the text. This could potentially confuse or mislead your visitors, which could result in them leaving your site without taking the desired action.

Another risk is that you could inadvertently make your site look unprofessional by making changes that are not in line with the overall design. This could reflect poorly on your business and dissuade potential customers from using your services or products.

As such, it is important to exercise caution when customizing text on Squarespace, and to make sure that you are comfortable with the risks before making any changes.

To change the font, size, color, or style of your text, click on the Text tab at the top of the page. To add links, images, or videos, click on the Insert tab.

If you want to change the font for your whole website, you can do that in the Style Editor. To get to the Style Editor, go to Settings and then click on Style Editor.

Once you’re in the Style Editor, click on Typography. From there, you can change the font for your website’s headers and body text.

You can also add custom CSS to further customize your website’s text. To learn more about adding custom CSS to Squarespace, check out this help article: https://support.Squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/20654358-Using-CSS-with-Squarespace
