How Do I Draw on an Image in Photoshop?

Assuming you have a basic understanding of Photoshop’s layout and tools, let’s get started on how to draw on an image!

1. Open the image you want to work with.

2. Select the “Brush Tool” from the left toolbar. It looks like a paintbrush.

3. In the top options bar, select a brush size and hardness. For this tutorial, I went with a brush size of 10 and hardness of 100%.

4. Pick a color for your brush from the ” foreground color” box in the toolbar (it’s the one on the left). I went with black.

5. Start painting! You can use different brush sizes and colors to add different effects to your drawing.
