How do I edit text in a vector in Illustrator?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 7:02 pm

Illustrator is a vector-based drawing program that allows users to edit text within vector objects. To edit text in a vector object, first create a vector object and add text. Next, select the text object and click the “edit” button in the toolbar. The “edit” button will open the “Text” dialog box.

PRO TIP: Never attempt to edit text in a vector in Illustrator unless you are an experienced user. This can easily lead to corrupting the vector file and losing all your work.

In the “Text” dialog box, you can change the text, font, and size of the text. You can also add text boxes and borders around the text. Finally, you can save the changes and close the “edit” button.
