How Do I Enable Filters in WooCommerce?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:26 pm

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, it’s important to make sure that your products are properly filtered so that customers can easily find what they’re looking for. There are a few different ways to enable filters in WooCommerce, and we’ll go over them all in this article.

First, let’s take a look at the built-in product filters. These are located in the left sidebar of your WooCommerce store and can be enabled by going to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display. From here, you can choose which product filters you want to enable and where you want them to be displayed.

If you want more control over your product filters, or if you want to add custom filters, you can do so with the help of a plugin. There are a few different plugins that offer this functionality, but we recommend using the WooCommerce Product Filter plugin. This plugin gives you complete control over your product filters, and it even lets you create custom filters.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with code or are not comfortable working with code, do not attempt to follow the instructions in this article. You could inadvertently break something on your site.

Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, you’ll need to go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Filters to configure it. From here, you can choose which product attributes should be used for filtering, and you can even create custom filters.

If you want an even more powerful solution, you can use the Advanced Product Filters for WooCommerce plugin. This plugin adds advanced filtering options to your WooCommerce store, including the ability to filter by price range, rating, stock status, and more.

No matter which method you choose, enabling product filters in WooCommerce is easy and can help improve the usability of your store.
