How do I find my root password DigitalOcean?

In this article, we are going to show you how to find your DigitalOcean root password. This is especially helpful if you have forgotten your root password.

To begin, open a terminal window and type the following command:

sudo passwd

You will be prompted to enter your root password. Once you have entered your root password, you will be taken to the password changer screen.

Here, you will need to type in the new root password that you retrieved in the previous step. Make sure to copy and paste this password into a secure location, as you will need it later on in this article.

Now that you have your root password, you can move on to the next step. To find out your IP address, you can use the ifconfig command. To do this, open a terminal window and type the following command:

sudo ifconfig

You will be prompted to enter your root password. Once you have entered your root password, you will be taken to the ifconfig screen. Here, you will need to type in the following command:

ip addr

You will then be prompted to enter your root password.

Here, you will see your IP address.

Now that you have your IP address, you can move on to the next step. To find out your hostname, you can use the hostname command. To do this, open a terminal window and type the following command:

PRO TIP: If you are unsure of your root password for DigitalOcean, we recommend resetting it for security purposes. Resetting your root password will require you to have access to the email associated with your account.

sudo hostname

You will then be prompted to enter your root password. Once you have entered your root password, you will be taken to the hostname screen.

Here, you will see your hostname.

Now that you have your hostname and IP address, you can move on to the next step. To find out your domain name, you can use the hostname command. To do this, open a terminal window and type the following command:

sudo hostname -f

You will then be prompted to enter your root password. Once you have entered your root password, you will be taken to the hostname -f screen.

Here, you will see your domain name.

Finally, you can use the whois command to find out your DigitalOcean domain name. To do this, open a terminal window and type the following command:

sudo whois domainname

You will then be prompted to enter your root password. Once you have entered your root password, you will be taken to the whois screen.

Here, you will see your DigitalOcean domain name.
