How Do I Find Out What Theme a Website Is Using on Shopify?

If you’re using Shopify, there are a few ways to find out what theme your website is using.

The first way is to check your shop’s admin panel. Under the “Online Store” section, click on “Themes.”

This will take you to the page where all of the themes installed on your shop are listed. The theme that is currently active will have a blue “live” badge next to it.

Another way to find out what theme your Shopify website is using is to look at the source code of your site. To do this, go to your shop’s home page and right-click anywhere on the page.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Shopify themes and coding, do not attempt to find out what theme a website is using. This could result in damaging the website and making it unusable. Only attempt to do this if you are confident in your abilities and know exactly what you are doing.

Select “View Page Source” (or “View Source” depending on your browser). A new tab or window will open up with all of the HTML code that makes up your shop’s home page.

Look for a line that says ““, then the theme being used is called “product.”

You can also try looking for a line that says “theme_id: .” This line will tell you the numerical ID of the theme being used. You can then go to Shopify’s Theme Store and search for themes by their ID number.

Finally, if you’re having trouble finding either of those lines, you can try searching for “.theme-” followed by a string of letters and numbers. This string of numbers and letters is generally unique to each theme, so searching for it should help you narrow down which theme is being used.

Once you’ve determined which theme your website is using, you can start making changes to its design!
