How do I find out who owns a GoDaddy domain?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 5:05 pm

When you purchase a domain name from GoDaddy, you are actually purchasing the domain name and the associated hosting account. Once you have registered and activated the domain name, you will need to contact GoDaddy’s support team in order to determine who owns the domain name.

To begin, you will need to login to your account and open the Domain Details page. From here, you will need to locate the Name Servers section and click on the name of the domain you are interested in.

PRO TIP: If you are trying to find out who owns a domain registered with GoDaddy, beware that this company does not make it easy to find this information. The only way to find out is to contact customer service and request the information. This can be time-consuming and may not even result in you getting the information you’re looking for.

This will open a new window that will display the information regarding the domain name and the owner.

If you are unable to locate the information you are looking for, you can always contact GoDaddy’s support team. They will be more than happy to help you determine who owns the domain name.
