The Selection Tool is one of the most basic and important tools in Photoshop. It allows you to select an area of an image to work on, and is essential for many basic tasks such as cropping, cutting out images, and adding text or effects to a specific area. There are several different Selection Tools available in Photoshop, each with its own specific function.

To find the Selection Tool in Photoshop, go to the Tools palette on the left-hand side of the screen.

The Selection Tool is located near the top of the palette, under the Quick Selection Tool. It is represented by a black arrow icon.

PRO TIP: The Selection Tool in Photoshop can be found in the ‘Tools’ menu at the top of the screen. However, it is important to note that this tool is only available in the ‘Full Version’ of Photoshop and not in the ‘Lite’ or ‘Express’ versions.

If you can’t see the Tools palette, go to Window > Tools. Alternatively, press F6 on your keyboard to open it.
