How Do I Get a Customer Invoice on Shopify?

As a Shopify store owner, you may need to generate a customer invoice for various reasons. For example, you may need to issue a refund for returned items, or send an invoice for an upcoming shipment. Whatever the reason, generating a customer invoice on Shopify is easy to do.

To generate a customer invoice, simply follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel and go to the Orders tab.

2. Find the order that you need to generate an invoice for and click on it.

3. On the Order Details page, click on the Generate Invoice button.

4. Enter the necessary information into the Invoice Generator form and click Generate Invoice.

Your customer invoice will now be generated and available for download as a PDF.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, you could end up with a customer invoice on your Shopify account that you cannot remove. Make sure that you understand how to remove a customer invoice before proceeding.
