How do I get a GoDaddy certificate?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 4:52 pm

Getting a GoDaddy certificate can be a bit of a challenge. The process is a bit more involved than just signing up for a free account and creating a certificate request. Here are some steps you can take to get a certificate:

1. First, you’ll need to create a GoDaddy account.

If you already have an account, sign in.

2. Once you have your account set up, you’ll need to create a certificate request.

To do this, head over to the Certificates page and click the Create Certificate Request button.

3. In the Certificate Request form, you’ll need to provide some basic information about your company.

You’ll also need to provide information about your certificate, such as the name of the certificate and the expiration date.

4. Next, you’ll need to provide information about your certificate request.

This includes information about the certificate itself, such as the name of the certificate and the certificate authority (CA).

5. Finally, you’ll need to pay the fee for your certificate.

To pay the fee, you’ll need to head over to the Fees page and click the Pay Fees button.

PRO TIP: The GoDaddy certificate process is not a simple one and should not be taken lightly. There are a few things that need to be done in order to get the certificate, and if they are not done correctly, it could cause major problems. First, you will need to generate a CSR or Certificate Signing Request. This can be done through your GoDaddy account. Once you have the CSR, you will need to submit it to the Certificate Authority. The next step is to wait for the CA to issue your certificate. This can take a few days. Finally, you will need to install the certificate on your web server. If you are not familiar with this process, it is best to hire someone who is.

6. After you’ve paid the fee, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

You’ll also receive a download link for your certificate.

7. You’ll now need to install the certificate on your web server.

To do this, head over to the Certificates page and click the Upload Certificate button.

8. You’ll then need to provide the file name and the file location for your certificate.

9. After you’ve uploaded your certificate, you’ll need to activate it.

To do this, head over to the Certificates page and click the Activate Certificate button.

10. Finally, you’ll need to add the certificate to your web server’s trust list.

To do this, head over to the Trusts page and click the Add Trust to This Site button.

Now that you have your certificate, you’ll need to make sure that your website is using it. To do this, head over to the Certificates page and click the Check Certificate Status button.

This will will will show you the status of your certificate, and it will tell you if there are any errors or if it needs to be updated.
