How Do I Get Rid of WooCommerce Out of Stock Badge?

Last updated on January 21, 2023 @ 2:44 pm

When you add a new product to your WooCommerce store, it’s important to set an inventory level so customers know whether the product is in stock. If you don’t set an inventory level, WooCommerce will assume that you have an infinite number of the product in stock.

This can be confusing for customers, so it’s generally best to avoid this by setting the inventory level for each product.

If you want to remove the “Out of Stock” badge from products that are out of stock, you can do so by going to your WooCommerce settings and checking the “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” box. This will remove the badge from all products that are currently out of stock. Note that this will not prevent the badge from appearing on products that become out of stock in the future; it will only hide it for products that are already out of stock.

PRO TIP: If you are considering removing the “Out of Stock” badge from your WooCommerce products, please be aware that this could have unintended consequences.

Specifically, if a customer adds a product to their cart which is then marked as out of stock, they may be unable to checkout. This could lead to frustrated customers and lost sales.

We recommend only removing the “Out of Stock” badge if you are confident that all of your products will remain in stock at all times.

You can also style the text of the “Out of Stock” badge using HTML. To do this, go to your WooCommerce settings and click on the “Catalog” tab.

In the “Catalog Options” section, there is a field labeled “Out of Stock Label.”

Conclusion:

To remove the “Out of Stock” badge from your WooCommerce store, simply go to your settings and check the “Hide out of stock items from catalog” box. You can also style the text of the badge using HTML by going to the Catalog tab in your settings and entering your desired code in the “Out of Stock Label” field.
