How Do I Import a Website Into Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:00 am

There are a couple different ways that you can import your website into Squarespace. You can either use the Import Content feature, or you can manually import your HTML files.

If you use the Import Content feature, Squarespace will automatically import your content and convert it into Squarespace format. This is the easiest way to import your website, but it doesn’t give you as much control over the final result.

PRO TIP: Before importing your website into Squarespace, please be aware that there are certain limitations to what can be imported. For example, not all website features or content may be able to be transferred over to Squarespace. Additionally, your website’s design may not translate perfectly to Squarespace’s platform. As such, please preview your site on Squarespace before making any final decisions or changes.

If you want to have more control over how your website looks in Squarespace, you can manually import your HTML files. To do this, you’ll first need to export your website from its current platform.

Once you have your HTML files, you can upload them to Squarespace and use our drag-and-drop editor to add them to your site.

No matter which method you use, importing your website into Squarespace only takes a few minutes. And once your site is imported, you’ll be able to take advantage of all of our powerful features to help you grow your business.

The easiest way to import a website into Squarespace is to use the Import Content feature. This will automatically import your content and convert it into Squarespace format. If you want more control over how your website looks in Squarespace, you can manually import your HTML files.
