Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 11:32 pm

Installing an ICC profile in Photoshop is a simple process that can be completed in just a few steps. First, you will need to download the ICC profile from the website of your printer or monitor manufacturer.

Once the file has been downloaded, you will need to unzip it and then double-click on the file to open it. Photoshop will then automatically install the profile into the correct location on your computer.

Once the profile has been installed, you will need to restart Photoshop for the changes to take effect. After restarting Photoshop, you will need to go to the Edit menu and select Color Settings.

PRO TIP: When installing ICC profiles in Photoshop, be sure to follow the instructions carefully. If you are not familiar with the process, it is best to seek help from a professional. Improper installation of ICC profiles can cause problems with your Photoshop installation and may even lead to data loss.

In the Color Settings dialog box, you will need to make sure that the Working Space is set to the same color space as the ICC profile that you installed. For example, if you installed an sRGB ICC profile, you would need to set the Working Space to sRGB IEC61966-2.1.

Once you have set the correct Working Space, you will then need to go to the View menu and select Proof Setup > Customize. In the Customize Proof Condition dialog box, you will need to make sure that the Color Management option is set to Preserve Color Numbers (PCS).

You will also need to make sure that the Rendering Intent is set to Perceptual and that Black Point Compensation is checked. Finally, you will need to click on the OK button to save your changes.

Your ICC profile should now be properly installed and working correctly in Photoshop.
