When you create a website on Squarespace, you have the option to add a donate button so that people can easily contribute to your cause. Here’s how to do it:

First, log in to your Squarespace account and go to the page where you want to add the button. Then, click on the “Add block” button and select the “Button” option.

In the “Button Link” field, enter the URL of your donation page.

You can find this by going to your donation page and copying the URL from the address bar.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that creating a donation button on Squarespace may not be as straightforward as it seems. While the platform does offer some built-in options for accepting payments and donations, there are some limitations to consider before proceeding. For instance, you’ll need to have a Business plan or higher in order to use Squarespace’s Commerce features, and there are fees associated with processing payments. Additionally, keep in mind that donors will need to create an account with Squarespace in order to complete a donation. As such, you may want to explore other options for accepting donations on your website before settling on Squarespace.

Next, enter the text that you want to display on the button. Something like “Donate Now” or “Contribute to Our Cause” works well.

Finally, choose the style of button that you want and then click on the “Add” button. Your button will now be added to your page.
