How Do I Make a Teardrop in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 11:57 pm

Making a teardrop in Photoshop is a fairly simple process that can be done with just a few clicks of the mouse. Here’s how:

1. Open up Photoshop and create a new document. The size of the document doesn’t really matter, but for this example we’ll use a canvas that’s 500×500 pixels.

2. Next, using the Ellipse Tool (U), draw out a perfect circle onto your canvas. Hold down the Shift key as you do this to ensure that the circle is perfectly symmetrical.

3. Once you have your circle drawn out, go to the Layer Styles panel and add a Drop Shadow effect.

Set the opacity of the shadow to around 50% and make sure the angle is set to 120 degrees. This will give your teardrop its distinctive look.

PRO TIP: This article provides detailed instructions on how to create a teardrop in Photoshop. However, it is important to note that teardrops can be difficult to create, and may require a bit of practice to get the desired results.

4. Finally, go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and increase the saturation levels by +20 or so. This will make your teardrop really stand out and look more realistic.

That’s all there is to it! With just a few simple steps you can easily create a realistic-looking teardrop in Photoshop.
