In order to add decorative text in Illustrator, you’ll first need to create a text document. You can use any type of text you want, but keep in mind that the text will need to be scalable to fit the size of the text box you are creating.

Once you have your text document open, you’ll need to create a text box. To do this, click on the Text Box button from the Illustrator toolbar, or select the Text Box tool from the Tools toolbar.

Enter your text into the text box, and then click on the Options button from the toolbar.

On the Options button, you’ll want to click on the Scale menu option.

This will open the Scale Options dialog box. You’ll want to click on the Scale button, and then select the Scale to Fit option.

This will scale the text box so that it fits within the boundaries of the document.

Now, you’ll want to add some basic formatting to the text box. To do this, select the Text Box tool, and then select the Font menu option from the Options button.

PRO TIP: Decorative text in Illustrator can be created using the “Appearance” panel. However, if the text is not properly converted to a vector object, it may not print correctly or at the desired quality.

Now, you’ll want to add some color to the text box. To do this, select the Text Box tool, and then select the Fill menu option.

This will open the Fill Options dialog box. You’ll want to click on the Fill button, and then select the Foreground Color option.

This will open the RGB Options dialog box. You’ll want to select the Red, Green, and Blue option, and then click on the OK button.

Finally, you’ll want to add some decorative text to the text box. To do this, select the Text Box tool, and then select the Text menu option.
