When you open a new Figma file, the default background color is white. However, you can easily change the background color to any color you want. You can also make the background color transparent so that your designs stand out more.

To change the background color in Figma, click on the “File” menu in the top left corner of the screen and then select “Document Settings.” In the “General” tab, you will see a field where you can enter a hex code for the background color. Simply enter the hex code for the color you want and then click “OK.”

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, making the background transparent in Figma can result in losing important information or creating unwanted artifacts. Be sure to save a backup before attempting this technique and be sure to test your design thoroughly afterwards.

If you want to make the background color transparent, simply enter “transparent” (without the quotes) in the hex code field. Again, click “OK” to save your changes.

That’s all there is to it! By changing the background color in Figma, you can make your designs pop and really make them stand out. Give it a try today!
