WooCommerce is a powerful eCommerce plugin that helps you turn your WordPress site into an online store. One of the great things about WooCommerce is that it gives you the ability to manage your orders and customers from within your WordPress admin area. In this article, we will show you how to manage your WooCommerce order status.

When an order is placed on your WooCommerce store, it is assigned a default status of “Pending.” This means that the order has been placed, but the payment has not yet been processed.

Once the payment has been processed, the order status will be updated to “Processing. ”

If you need to cancel an order, you can do so from the WooCommerce Orders page. Simply hover over the order that you want to cancel and click on the “Cancel” link.

This will change the order status to “Cancelled. ”

PRO TIP: If you are using WooCommerce to manage your orders, it is important to be aware of the various order statuses and what they mean. Depending on your WooCommerce settings, you may see different order statuses. Here are some common statuses and their meanings:

Pending: Order has been placed but not yet paid for

Processing: Order has been paid for and is being processed

Completed: Order has been completed and shipped

Cancelled: Order has been cancelled

Refunded: Order has been refunded

If an order is returned or refunded, you can also change the order status from the WooCommerce Orders page. Hover over the order that you want to refund and click on the “Refund” link.

You can then select a refund reason from the dropdown menu and enter a refund amount. This will change the order status to “Refunded. ”

You can also add custom order statuses to WooCommerce. This can be useful if you want to track orders that are being shipped or if you have a special process for handling returns.

To add a custom order status, go to WooCommerce > Settings > General and scroll down to the Order Statuses section. Here, you can add a new status and assign it a color.
