How do I manually install a WooCommerce plugin?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 10:27 pm

Installing a WooCommerce plugin is a three-step process: 1. Find the plugin you want to install. 2. Download the plugin file.

3. Upload the plugin to your WordPress site.

To find the plugin you want to install, search your WordPress site for a specific term or phrase. For example, if you’re looking for a plugin to add social media buttons to your blog, you would search for “social media buttons plugin” on your WordPress site.

PRO TIP: If you are not comfortable with code or making direct changes to your site, we recommend that you use a plugin to install WooCommerce. If you still wish to proceed with a manual installation, please be aware that you do so at your own risk.

Once you’ve found the plugin you want to install, you’ll need to download the plugin file. To do this, click the “Download” button next to the plugin’s name.

Once you’ve downloaded the plugin file, you’ll need to upload it to your WordPress site. To do this, click the “Upload” button next to the plugin’s name and choose the “Upload Plugin Files” option.

Now that you’ve installed the plugin, you’ll need to activate it. To do this, click the “Activate” button next to the plugin’s name and enter your WordPress site’s username and password.
