How Do I Move a Figma File to Project?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:09 am

There are a few different ways that you can move a Figma file to a project. The first way is to simply drag and drop the file into the project folder. You can also use the “File > Add to Project” menu item.

If you want to move a file to a different project, you can use the “File > Move to Project” menu item. This will open up a dialog where you can select the destination project.

PRO TIP: If you are moving a Figma file to a project, please be aware that any changes you make to the file will not be reflected in the project. To update the project with your changes, you will need to export the file as a new version.

You can also use the “File > Duplicate” menu item to create a copy of the file in the same project or a different project.

Finally, if you want to move all of the files in a project to a different location, you can use the “Project > Move Project” menu item. This will open up a dialog where you can select the destination folder.
