How Do I Open a Template in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:34 pm

When you open Figma, the first thing you will see is the Home screen. On the left-hand side of the screen, you will see a menu with several options.

One of these options is “Templates.” Click on this option to be taken to the Templates page.

On the Templates page, you will see a variety of different templates that you can use for your project. To open a template, simply click on the template that you want to use. This will open the template in a new window.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to open a template in the program. Templates are often complex files with many layers and objects, and opening one in Figma without knowing how to use the program can result in lost work and confusion.

Once you have opened the template, you can begin editing it to suit your needs. To edit the text, simply click on the text box and type in your desired text. To change the font or font size, click on the “Text” option in the top menu and make your changes from there.

You can also change the colors of elements within the template by clicking on the “Color” option in the top menu. From here, you can select a color from the palette or use a hex code to specify a specific color.

When you are finished making changes to the template, simply click on the “File” option in the top menu and select “Save.” This will save your changes and allow you to continue working on your project.
