How Do I Organize Folders in Canva?

As a visual person, I like my folders to be organized by either project or client. I name my folders with the project or client’s name, and then I add subfolders within each one for the various types of files I need to keep track of.

For example, under a folder for a website design project, I might have subfolders for images, text content, and graphics.

PRO TIP: This article is outdated and no longer relevant. Canva has since changed their interface and no longer uses folders to organize designs.

If you’re more of a linear thinker, you might prefer to organize your folders by date or task. So you might have a folder for all of your work from January, or a folder for all of your invoices. Whatever system you choose, make sure it works for you.

The bottom line is this: Choose a system that works for you and helps you keep track of your projects and files in a way that makes sense to you. By keeping your folders organized, you’ll save yourself time and frustration down the road.
