If you are looking to host a domain with Namecheap, it is easy to do so. Simply add the domain to your Namecheap account, and then follow the instructions below to point the domain to DigitalOcean.

First, log into your Namecheap account.

Then, go to Settings > Domains.

Next, select the domain you want to point to DigitalOcean.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with DNS and domain configuration, we do not recommend proceeding with this guide. Incorrectly configuring your DNS settings can result in downtime for your website.

Finally, click the “Update Domain” button.

You will now be prompted to enter the domain’s hostname (or IP address).

Once you have entered the hostname or IP address, click the “Update Domain” button again.

Your domain will now be pointing to DigitalOcean!.
