How do I point my domain name to DigitalOcean droplet?

To point your domain name to a DigitalOcean droplet, you’ll first need to create a droplet. To do this, visit DigitalOcean and click the “Create Droplet” button.

Next, enter the details for your droplet, including the Droplet Name and select the Operating System and Region.

Once your droplet is created, you’ll need to add your domain name to your account. To do this, open the Droplet’s Settings page and click the Add Domain button.

Enter your domain name into the Add Domain dialog, and click the Add Domain button.

PRO TIP: If you are attempting to point your domain name to a DigitalOcean droplet, it is important to first verify that your domain’s DNS settings are correctly configured. Incorrectly configured DNS settings can result in your domain name not resolving to your droplet’s IP address, or resolving to the wrong IP address.

Now that your domain name is associated with your droplet, you’ll need to point the domain name to your droplet. To do this, open your domain’s DNS settings and add the droplet’s IP address as the A (Primary) Zone and the 8.8.

8.8 (DNS Server) as the Secondary Zone.

Finally, you’ll need to enable SSH access for your droplet. To do this, open the Droplet’s Settings page and click the Enable SSH button.

Now that your domain name and droplet are linked, you can access your droplet using your domain name. To do this, open a web browser and type your domain name into the address bar.

If everything is set up correctly, you’ll be presented with the droplet’s login page. To log in, enter your droplet’s login credentials and click the Login button.
