How do I quickly remove a background in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 4:01 pm

Background removal in Photoshop can be a time-consuming process, depending on the size and complexity of the background. One approach is to use the selection tools to isolate the background, and then use the brush tool to paint over the background with a light-colored or transparent color.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, or if you are new to using the software, you may want to avoid using the “Quick Remove Background” feature. This feature can easily remove the background from an image, but it can also damage or distort the image if you are not careful.

Another approach is to use the clone tool to create a duplicate of the background, and then use the eraser tool to remove the duplicate. If the background is a complex pattern or texture, it may be necessary to use a combination of the selection and brush tools, along with the clone tool, to remove the background completely.
