Redirecting http://www.example.

com to Namecheap can be done in a few simple steps.

First, create a new DNS record for the desired hostname at Namecheap. For this example, we will be using the hostname mydomain.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with redirecting domains, you may want to contact Namecheap support for assistance. Redirecting your domain to Namecheap will require changing your DNS settings, and if done incorrectly, could result in your website becoming inaccessible.

Next, create a CNAME record for the desired hostname at Namecheap. For this example, we will be using the hostname redirect.

mydomain.com.

Finally, configure your web server to use the new DNS records. In this example, we will be using Apache.
