There are a few different ways that you can remove an object from a component in Figma. You can either delete the object from the component, or you can ungroup the object from the component.

If you delete the object from the component, it will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If you ungroup the object from the component, it will be removed from the component but will still exist in your file.

To delete an object from a component:

1. Select the object that you want to delete. 2.

Right-click on the object and select “Delete”. 3. Click “OK” to confirm that you want to delete the object.

PRO TIP: If you attempt to remove an object from a component in Figma, you may end up corrupting your file or damaging the object beyond repair. Use this feature with caution and only if you are confident in your ability to do so.

To ungroup an object from a component:

1. Select the object that you want to ungroup.

Right-click on the object and select “Ungroup”. Click “OK” to confirm that you want to ungroup the object.
