How do I run a droplet in DigitalOcean?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 2:18 pm

Running a droplet in DigitalOcean is easy. First, create a new droplet. You can use the following command to create a droplet with 1GB of memory and 10GB of storage:

droplet create \ –name “My Droplet” \ –memory 1g \ –disk-size 10g

Next, we need to configure the droplet. To do this, we need to set the Droplet’s Settings. To do this, we can use the following command:

droplet settings

The Droplet Settings page allows us to set the Droplet’s name, hostname, and password. We can also set the Droplet’s SSH keypair and IP address.

We can also configure the Droplet’s security settings. To do this, we can use the following command:

droplet security

The Droplet Security page allows us to set the Droplet’s security options. These options include the Droplet’s SSH keypair, firewall settings, and root access.

We can also add a Droplet’s image. To do this, we can use the following command:

droplet image create \ –name “My Image” \ –size “1GB” \ –type “ext4”

The Droplet Image create command allows us to create a new image droplet. We can use the following command to create a droplet with the My Image image:

We can also use the following command to list the images available on the DigitalOcean platform:

droplet image list

The Droplet Image list command lists all the images available on the DigitalOcean platform.

We can also use the following command to delete a droplet’s image:

droplet image delete \ –name “My Image”

The Droplet Image delete command allows us to delete a droplet’s image.

We can also use the following command to add a volume to a droplet:

droplet volume create \ –name “My Volume” \ –size “10GB” \ –type “ext4”

The Droplet Volume create command allows us to create a new volume droplet. We can use the following command to create a droplet with the My Volume volume:

We can also use the following command to list the volumes available on the DigitalOcean platform:

droplet volume list

The Droplet Volume list command lists all the volumes available on the DigitalOcean platform.

PRO TIP: If you are running a droplet in DigitalOcean, you need to take care to ensure that your droplet is properly configured. Otherwise, you may experience downtime or other problems.

We can also use the following command to delete a volume:

droplet volume delete \ –name “My Volume”

The Droplet Volume delete command allows us to delete a volume.

We can also use the following command to add a network to a droplet:

droplet network create \ –name “My Network” \ –size “5GB” \ –type “vlan”

The Droplet Network create command allows us to create a new network droplet. We can use the following command to create a droplet with the My Network network:

We can also use the following command to list the networks available on the DigitalOcean platform:

droplet network list

The Droplet Network list command lists all the networks available on the DigitalOcean platform.

We can also use the following command to add a port to a network:

droplet network port create \ –name “My Port” \ –size “100” \ –type “tcp”

The Droplet Network port create command allows us to create a new port droplet. We can use the following command to create a droplet with the My Port port:

We can also use the following command to list the ports available on the DigitalOcean platform:

droplet network port list

The Droplet Network port list command lists all the ports available on the DigitalOcean platform.

We can also use the following command to add a Droplet’s root password:

droplet root password create

The Droplet Root password create command allows us to create a new root password for a droplet.

We can also use the following command to list the Droplet’s root passwords:

droplet root password list

The Droplet Root password list command lists all.
