How Do I Save a Figma File Locally?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:28 pm

Assuming you have a Figma account (you can sign up for free here), saving a Figma file locally is a pretty straightforward process. Here’s how to do it:

1. Log into your Figma account and open the file you want to save.

2. Click the “File” menu at the top of the screen, then select “Export.”

3. In the window that appears, choose the file format you want to save as (PNG, JPG, or SVG), then click “Export.”

4. Choose where on your computer you want to save the file, then click “Save.”

That’s all there is to it! Saving a Figma file locally is quick and easy, and can be done in just a few steps.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a Figma file locally, it is important to save it regularly. Otherwise, you may lose your work if the file becomes corrupted.
