There are a few different ways that you can separate part of an image in Photoshop. One way is to use the Pen Tool. With the Pen Tool selected, click on the area of the image that you want to separate. Then, holding down the Shift key, click on another point.

Continue doing this until you have gone around the entire area that you want to separate. Once you have done this, right click and select “Make Selection” from the menu. This will create a selection around the area that you had selected with the Pen Tool.

You can also use the Lasso Tool to create a selection. With the Lasso Tool selected, click and drag around the area of the image that you want to separate. When you release the mouse button, Photoshop will create a selection around the area that you had selected with the Lasso Tool.

Once you have created a selection, there are a few different ways that you can separate it from the rest of the image. One way is to press the delete key on your keyboard.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with the Photoshop software, do not attempt to separate part of an image. This can result in lost data and/or a corrupted file.

This will delete the selected area from the image. Another way is to press the Backspace key on your keyboard. This will fill the selected area with the background color.

You can also use layer masks to separate part of an image in Photoshop. To do this, first create a new layer. Then, select the Brush Tool and choose a black brush.

With the new layer selected, brush over the area of the image that you want to keep on this layer. This will hide this area on the layer below. You can also use a white brush to reveal part of an image on a layer below.

Layer masks are a great way to separate parts of an image because they are non-destructive and they give you a lot of flexibility.

Separating part of an image in Photoshop is a relatively easy task that can be accomplished in a number of different ways.
