How do I set shipping rates in WooCommerce?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:35 pm

Setting shipping rates in WooCommerce is a simple process. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping.

On the Shipping Settings page, you will find three sections: Incoming Shipping, Outgoing Shipping, and Shipping Rates.

Incoming Shipping

In the Incoming Shipping section, you will find three tabs:

Order Total: This tab displays the order total for the cart. This total includes the total amount of shipping fees that have been calculated and added to the order.

This tab displays the order total for the cart.

Orders: This tab displays all orders that have been placed in the WooCommerce system.

This tab displays all orders that have been placed in the WooCommerce system. Shipping Methods: This tab displays the selected shipping method for the order.

PRO TIP: When setting shipping rates in WooCommerce, be sure to take into account the different shipping zones that your customers may be in. You will also need to consider the weight and dimensions of your products, as these will affect the shipping costs. Make sure to set realistic shipping rates that cover your costs and provide a good customer experience.

If you have multiple orders in the cart that use the same shipping method, the tab order will list the order number first, followed by the shipping method name. For example, if you have an order with a shipping method of “Standard Shipping,” and then you place an order with the same shipping method, the order will be listed as “Order Number 1 (Standard Shipping),” and the order with the “Standard Shipping” shipping method will be listed as “Order Number 2 (Standard Shipping).”

Outgoing Shipping

In the Outgoing Shipping section, you will find two tabs:

Shipping Methods: This tab displays the selected shipping method for the order.

This tab displays the selected shipping method for the order. Shipping Rates: This tab displays the calculated shipping rates for the order.

Conclusion

Setting shipping rates in WooCommerce is a simple process. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping and find the three sections: Incoming Shipping, Outgoing Shipping, and Shipping Rates. In the Incoming Shipping section, you will find three tabs: Order Total, Orders, and Shipping Methods.

In the Outgoing Shipping section, you will find two tabs: Shipping Methods and Shipping Rates. The Shipping Rates tab will display the calculated shipping rates for the order.
