How Do I Set Up a Filter Group in Shopify?

One of the great things about Shopify is that it makes managing your inventory very easy. One way that it does this is by allowing you to set up Filter Groups.

Filter Groups allow you to organize your products into different categories so that you can easily find what you are looking for. In this article, we will show you how to set up a Filter Group in Shopify.

To create a Filter Group:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections. 2. Click the + button next to Collections. 3. In the Collection type section, select Filter group.

4. Enter a Title. This is the name of your filter group and will be visible to customers. 5. In the Handle field, enter a unique handle for your filter group. This is used in the URL for your filter group and should be all lowercase with no spaces.

For example, if your filter group is called “Shoes”, you might enter “shoes” as the handle.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, setting up a filter group in Shopify can result in duplicate products in your store. This can cause confusion for customers and make it difficult to manage your inventory.

6. In the Description, enter a brief description of your filter group.

This will be visible to customers on your shop.

For example, you might enter “A collection of our best shoes. “

<7. In the “Add a product”, start typing the name or SKU of a product that you want to add to this collection, then select it from the list that appears.
