Google Analytics is a free website tracking tool that provides valuable insights into the behavior of website visitors. Setting up Google Analytics on Shopify is a simple process that can be completed in just a few steps.

1. Create a Google Analytics account. If you don’t already have a Google account, you’ll need to create one.

Once you have a Google account, visit the Google Analytics website and click “Sign In” in the top right corner. Then, click “Create an Account”.

2. Enter your account information. Enter your website name, website URL, and time zone. Then, select “Get Tracking ID”.

3. Copy your tracking code. On the next page, you’ll see your tracking code. Copy this code and head over to your Shopify admin panel.

4. Add your tracking code to Shopify. In your Shopify admin panel, go to Online Store > Preferences.

Scroll down to the “Google Analytics” section and paste your tracking code into the box labeled “Google Analytics Account Number”. Then, click Save at the bottom of the page.

That’s it! You’ve successfully set up Google Analytics on your Shopify store. Now, you can start tracking important data about your website visitors and using that information to improve your store.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Shopify or Google Analytics, do not attempt to set up Google Analytics on your Shopify account without first consulting someone who is knowledgeable about both platforms. Incorrectly setting up Google Analytics can result in inaccurate data tracking and reporting.
