How Do I Share Canva With Students?

Last updated on September 27, 2022 @ 5:38 pm

As a teacher, you may find yourself wanting to share your Canva designs with students. Maybe you want to useCanva to create a class newsletter or poster, or perhaps you want students to be able to create their own designs as part of a class project. Whatever the reason, there are a few different ways you can share Canva with students.

One way to share Canva with students is to simply send them the link to your design. If you’re working on a design that you want students to be able to view and/or edit, go to the top of the design page and click on the Share button.

From there, you can copy and paste the link into an email, Google Classroom assignment, or wherever else you’d like to share it.

If you want students to be able to edit your design, make sure that the Share settings for your design are set to “Anyone with the link can edit.” Otherwise, students will only be able to view your design but not make any changes.

PRO TIP: Canva is a great tool for creating design projects, but it’s important to be aware of the potential risks when sharing it with students. Make sure you trust the students you’re sharing with, and be aware that they may be able to access sensitive information if they gain access to your account.

Another way to share Canva with students is by exporting your design and then uploading it into a Google Classroom assignment. To do this, go to the top of the design page and click on the Export button. Choose whether you want to export your design as an image or PDF, and then click on the Export button again.

Once your design has been exported, go into Google Classroom and create a new assignment. Click on the “+” sign and select “Upload.” Choose whether you want students to be able to edit your design or just view it, and then click on the “Add” button.

If you’re not using Google Classroom, you can also upload your exported Canva designs onto your school website or blog for students to view. You can also print them out and hand them out in class.

Conclusion:
There are a few different ways that teachers can share their Canva designs with students. One way is by simply sending them the link to their design. Another way is by exporting their design and uploading it into a Google Classroom assignment.
