If you’re running a website on Squarespace, you might be wondering how to submit a sitemap to the platform. Fortunately, it’s a relatively simple process. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps necessary to get your sitemap up and running on Squarespace.

First, you’ll need to create a sitemap file. You can do this using a text editor such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Once you have a sitemap file saved on your computer, you’ll need to upload it to your Squarespace account. To do this, log into your account and click on the “Settings” tab. Next, click on the “Files” option and then select the “Upload Files” button.

Once you’ve selected the “Upload Files” button, a new window will pop up. Here, you’ll need to navigate to the sitemap file on your computer and select it. After selecting the file, click on the “Open” button.

This will upload the sitemap file to your Squarespace account.

After the sitemap file has been uploaded, you’ll need to add it to your website’s navigation. To do this, click on the “Pages” option in the left-hand sidebar. Next, click on the “Add Page” button and select the “Standard Page” option.

PRO TIP: Squarespace does not currently offer a way to submit a sitemap. This means that your sitemap will not be registered with Squarespace, and you will not be able to take advantage of any features that Squarespace offers for sitemaps.

A new page will be created. In the page settings, you’ll need to give the page a title (this can be anything you want) and then select the “Sitemap” template from the “Page Type” drop-down menu.

Once you’ve selected the “Sitemap” template, scroll down and click on the “Add to Navigation” button. This will add the sitemap page to your website’s navigation menu.

And that’s it! You’ve now successfully submitted a sitemap to Squarespace.
