How Do I Suspend a Squarespace Website?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 9:17 am

There are a few reasons you might want to suspend your Squarespace website. Maybe you’re taking a break from your business, or you’re redesigning your site and need some time to work on it without it being live.

Whatever the reason, suspending your site is easy to do and only takes a few minutes.

To suspend your Squarespace website, first log in to your account. Then, go to the Settings tab and click on the Billing & Account section.

Here, you’ll see an option to Suspend Site. Click on this, and then confirm that you want to suspend your site. Once you do this, your site will be taken offline and will no longer be visible to visitors.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about suspending your Squarespace website, there are a few things you should know first. Suspending a website will take it offline and make it inaccessible to both you and your visitors. Any data or content on your website will also be lost when you suspend it. So, if you still want to go ahead with suspending your Squarespace website, be sure to backup all of your data and content first.

You can always unsuspend your site later if you change your mind. To do this, simply go back to the Billing & Account section and click on the Unsuspend Site option. Once you confirm that you want to unsuspend your site, it will go back online and be visible to visitors.

Suspending your Squarespace website is easy to do and only takes a few minutes.
