How Do I Transfer My Squarespace Plan?

There are three ways to transfer your Squarespace plan:

    1. Self-Service: You can transfer your Squarespace plan to another owner through our self-service form. This is the fastest and easiest way to transfer your plan.

    2. Billing Support: If you need help transferring your plan, our billing support team can assist you. This process takes a little longer, but we’ll make sure everything is transferred correctly.

    3. Site Migration: Our site migration team can transfer your entire site to another owner. This is the best option if you need help transferring your domain, content, and settings.

To transfer your Squarespace plan:

  • Log in to your Squarespace account and go to Billing & Account. If you have multiple sites, click the site you want to transfer.

  • At the top of the page, click Transfer Site. If you don’t see this option, it means that site transfers aren’t available for your type of site.

On the Transfer Site page:

  • Enter the email address of the new owner.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that transferring your Squarespace plan may result in data loss. We recommend that you backup your data before proceeding.
  • (Optional) Enter a message to send to the new owner.

  • (Optional) Choose whether to transfer your domain along with your site. If you have a G Suite account through Squarespace, we recommend transferring it as well.
