Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 12:27 am

If you have a WordPress site that you manage yourself, you can update WordPress manually by following these steps:

1. Log into your WordPress site.

2. Click the “Updates” link in the upper-left corner of the main WordPress screen.

3. Click the “Check for Updates” button.

4. If there are new updates available, WordPress will display a message asking you to install them.

Click the “Update Now” button to download and install the updates.

PRO TIP: Before you update WordPress manually, please back up your site first. This will help you restore your site if something goes wrong during the update process.

To update WordPress manually, log in to your WordPress site and go to the Dashboard. Under the Updates section, you will see a button that says Update Now. Click on this button and follow the instructions on the screen.

5. WordPress will update the database and all the files in your site.

Once the updates are complete, you’ll be redirected to the WordPress home page.

6. Congratulations! You’ve just updated your WordPress site!.
