There are many ways to add text to an image in Photoshop, but one of the most common and versatile methods is to use the Type tool. With the Type tool, you can add text to an image, format the text, and even change the color of the text. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to use the Type tool to add text to an image in Photoshop.

To add text to an image in Photoshop, first select the Type tool from the Toolbox. Then, click on the image where you want to add the text.

PRO TIP: This article provides basic instructions on how to write text in Photoshop. However, it does not provide any information on how to format or style the text. As a result, the text may not appear as intended when published or printed.

A Type layer will be created, and you can begin typing your text. To format the text, use the options in the Options bar at the top of the screen. You can change the font, size, color, and other options from here.

If you want to move the text around on the image, simply click and drag it to a new location. You can also use the Move tool to move the text by clicking on the Move tool and then clicking on the text layer in the Layers panel.

Once you’re happy with your text, you can save your image by selecting File > Save from the menu bar.
