How Do I Zoom an Image in Squarespace?

If you have a lot of images on your Squarespace website that you want your visitors to be able to zoom in on, there is a simple way to do this. Just add a little bit of HTML code to each image. Here’s how:

    1. Go to the page on your Squarespace site where you want to add the zoom feature to an image.
    2. Click on the image block.
    3. In the pop-up window, click on the HTML button.

    4. Add the following code to the image:

    <a href="image URL" data-rel="lightbox" title="image title"><img src="image URL"/></a>

    5. Replace “image URL” with the actual URL of the image you want to zoom in on. You can find this by right-clicking on the image and selecting “Copy Image Address. ”

    6. Replace “image title” with a brief description of the image.

    7. Click OK.

    8. Save your changes and preview your page.

Now when visitors click on the image, they’ll be able to see it in a lightbox popup where they can zoom in and out.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, zooming an image in Squarespace can result in a distorted or blurry image. Be sure to use the zoom feature sparingly and only when absolutely necessary.
