How Do You Add a Border on Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 11:45 pm

Adding a border to an image in Photoshop is a fairly simple process. With just a few clicks, you can add a border to any image.

First, open the image in Photoshop. Then, select the “Layer” menu and choose “New Layer.” A new layer will appear over the image.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that adding a border in Photoshop can be a complex process, and there are many different ways to do it. If you are not familiar with the software, we recommend that you seek out some tutorials or ask someone for help before attempting to do it yourself.

Next, select the “Brush” tool from the Photoshop toolbar. Choose a black or white brush, depending on the look you want to achieve. Then, click on the edge of the image and drag the brush around the perimeter of the image to create a border.

Finally, select the “Layer” menu again and choose “Flatten Image.” This will merge the new layer with the original image layer. The border will now be permanent.
