Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 9:47 pm

Adding localization to your WiX installer is a great way to reach a wider audience and make your product more accessible. There are a few different ways to add localization, but the most common is using the WiX Localization Manager.

To add localization to your installer, first download and install the WiX Localization Manager from the WiX website. Once installed, open the manager and click the “Add Localization” button.

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: This article is outdated and no longer relevant. WiX now has built-in support for localization, so there is no need to add any additional code or files.

In the “Add Localization” window, select the language you want to add from the drop-down list. Then, enter the name of the file that contains your localized strings. Finally, click the “Add” button.

Your localized strings will now be included in your WiX installer!
