How Do You Add Paddings in Figma?

There are a few ways to add padding in Figma. The most common way is to use the padding tool in the left toolbar. You can also add padding by selecting the object you want to add padding to and going to the properties panel on the right and adjusting the padding values there.

Another way to add padding is to create a frame around the object you want to add padding to. To do this, select the object and then click on the “Create Frame” icon in the toolbar. This will create a frame around the object with adjustable padding values.

PRO TIP: When adding paddings in Figma, be sure to use the correct padding tool for the layer you are working on. Otherwise, you may end up with unwanted results.

Once you’ve added padding, you can adjust the spacing between objects by selecting them and going to the properties panel on the right and adjusting the “Spacing” values.

Adding paddings in Figma is a straightforward process that can be done in a few different ways. The most common method is to use the dedicated padding tool in the left toolbar, but paddings can also be added by selecting an object and adjusting its properties in the right panel, or by creating a frame around it. Whichever method you choose, adding paddings can help improve the overall look of your design.
